Special interest-
La Gomera is a a small and relatively unknown Island in the Canary Island archipelago. During my residency I was introduced to the local brew of Palm wine, it tasted sugary sweet with a mildness that belied it's surprise potency. Amongst mist topped hills cut through with winding roads, rows of majestic Palms, many with ladders propped against them ready to be harvested, grew heartily in the microclimate ready for the locals to collected their delicious nectar.
